Susan Viola Bounds, 77, of Ravenden Springs, departed this life on Tuesday, May 20, 2025, at her home surrounded by her family.

Susan was born on September 13, 1947, in Poplar Bluff to the late Boyd Burton and Maxine Burton Johnson (Carl). She was a member of the First Assembly Church of God. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend.

Susan was preceded in death by her parents, Boyd Burton and Maxine Burton; husband, Thomas Bounds; three brothers, Robert, Jack and Wade Burton; two sisters, Marlene Shepherd, Donna Chestnut.

She is survived by her children, Jeff (Dawn) Bounds of McKinney, TX., and Dianna (Joe) Medlock of Ravenden Springs; six grandchildren, Rachel Lauren Bounds, Ryan Nelson (Kelsey) Bounds, Derek Joe (Allison) Medlock II, Teddy Dylan Medlock, Darren Christopher Thomas (Madelyn) Medlock and Deacon William Medlock; nine great grandchildren, Parker Ryan Liebhaber, Greyson Nelson Bounds, Everett Leslie Bounds, Meridith Lynn Bounds, Sutton Joe Medlock, Mila Grace Medlock, Stella Jo Medlock, Stetson Thomas Medlock, and Cole Ander Luedeman; siblings, Ted Burton of Baldwin, MO., Lee Burton of Poplar Bluff, MO., twin brother, Sid Burton of Heber AZ and Mary Richards of Sullivan, MO. and special friend and caretaker, Dauson Hill of Pocahontas.

Visitation will be held Friday, May 23, 2025, from 1:00 – 3:00 pm with the funeral service to begin at 3:00 pm with Joe Medlock and Terry Miller officiating. All services will be held in the McNabb Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Sutton Cemetery.

Those honored to serve as pallbearers are Rachel Bounds, Ryan Bounds, Derek Medlock, Dylan Medlock, Darren Medlock, Parker Liebhaber and Deacon Medlock.
