Jonesboro- Steven Foster Wiles, 78, passed away Tuesday, March 1, 2016 at Flo Phil Jones Hospice House. He was born March 23, 1937 in Memphis to the late Virnus and Nellie Laughlin Wiles. Retired First Sgt. Wiles served his county proudly for 23 years in the United States Marine Corp. He was an avid bowler and loved to play softball. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father and Poppy. He is survived by his wife, Wilda "Jean" Wiles; his children, Debra Wiles Henry (Raymond) of Vanndale, Donna Wiles Tuttle (Vance) of Litchfield Park, AZ and David A. Wiles (Ladonna) of Salina, Kansas and Derek E. Wiles (Lori) of Olathe, Kansas; brother, Robert A. Wiles (JoAnn) of Big Bear City, CA; sister, Mary Lou Blair (Ray) of Covina, CA; half-sisters, Sharon Leach (Harold), Barbara Eiseley (Robert) and Linda Carpenter (George); sister-in-law, Janice Wiles; twelve grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Stanley E. Wiles; sisters, Marilyn Yager and Joann Thweatt. A full military graveside service will be 11:00 am Monday, March 7, 2016 at Arkansas Veteran's Cemetery- Birdeye with Rev. Don Pucik officiating under the direction of Gregg-Langford Bookout Funeral Home.
