Jonesboro- Steve Crisp, 55, passed away Monday, June 29, 2015 at his residence. He was born February 22, 1960 in Jonesboro and lived here his lifetime. Steve graduated from Jonesboro High School in 1978 and attended all class reunions. He also attended Arkansas State University. He and his family owned and operated Crisp Exxon Station for many years. In later years he worked at Kroger. He was a member of the First Baptist Church. He is survived by his mother, Doris Clark Crisp; six cousins, Trish Bowman of Memphis, Vickie Binkley of Jonesboro, Kelley Landwehr of Warrensburg, Missouri, Brant Crisp and Bart Crisp both of Fort Smith and Scott Crisp of Jonesboro. He was preceded in death by his father, Eugene Carroll "Gene" Crisp; grandparents, Harold and Eileen Crisp and John T. and Ethel Clark; a special uncle and aunt, William "Bill" and Dorothy Brown; two special uncles, Charles Crisp and Robert Crisp. A celebration of his life will be 2:00 pm Friday, July 3, 2015 at Gregg-Langford Bookout Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bruce Venable officiating. Burial will follow at Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends from noon until 2:00 pm Friday at the funeral home.
