Stephen Dale "Steve" Roberts, 70 of O'Kean passed away peacefully on Monday, August 11, 2025, at his home.

Born March 1, 1955, in Pocahontas; Steve was the second of three children born to James Kenneth Roberts and Norma Lou Getson. A 1973 graduate of Delaplaine High School, Steve attended college at Southern Baptist College in Walnut Ridge before returning to the family farm where he made his love of farming his life-long profession. An avid outdoorsman, Steve was a proud member of the Delaplaine Hunting Club where he spent countless hours on the deer stand. Many of those hours making memories with his son, Justin, and stopping to see sis on his way to the cabin. When home he usually could be found fishing, hunting, or trapping. Steve also got great joy from his grandchildren. He was often laughing at their antics and loved spoiling them with Halloween candy.

In addition to his parents, Steve was preceded in death by brother Ronald Blake "Buck" Roberts.

Survivors include his wife, Gayle Roberts of the home; children, Katie (Adam) French of Delaplaine, and Justin (Caitlin) Roberts of Oak Grove Heights; step-daughter LeAnn (Shelby) Steward of Searcy; grandchildren, Bryson French, Jackson French, and Kenley Boling; sister, Kathy (David) Hicks of Violet Hill and Andrea (Chris) Murray of Delaplaine; and uncle John Carman Getson of Delaplaine. As well as many other friends and family members.

Visitation will be 10 a.m. -12 p.m. Thursday, August 14, 2025, in the chapel of McNabb Funeral Home in Pocahontas. Funeral services will begin at 12 p.m. with Phillip Keeling and Terry Phipps officiating. Following services, burial will take place at Lawrence Memorial Park in Walnut Ridge.

Honored to serve as pallbearers are Jason Ballard, Ronnie Roberts, Vince Ragsdell, Junior Alls, Mary Grant, Hunter Keeling, and Tracer Keeling. Honorary pallbearers will be Greg Lance, Charlie Cullum, Jeremy Powers, and the members of the Delaplaine Hunting Club.
