Stephen "Steve" Allen King of Dalton, AR passed away October 21, 2023, at St. Bernards Medical Center in Pocahontas, AR.

Steve was born on September 9th, 1955, in Pocahontas to the late Glen King and Wildean Cook King.

Steve loved his kids and grandkids and enjoyed a good ole fishing trip with them when he was able to go. He worked on the river boats and construction in his early years, then ran the family farm and really enjoyed taking care of the cattle. He loved the Arkansas Razorbacks and the St. Louis Cardinals and enjoyed catching a game in St. Louis when he was still able to go.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Glen and Wildean King; mother-in-law, Adalene Hayes, father-in-law Sherman Hayes, daughter Tara King; son, James Andrew King; granddaughter, Stormy Nicole King Green; bothers-in-law, Lonnie Trent and Pat Adams; sister-in-law, Thelma (Donnie) Hayes; nephews, Sean Hayes, Craig Adams, Mark Donner and niece Sarah Sandusky.

Steve is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Judy King of Dalton, AR; children, Stephen Allen King Jr. of Searcy, AR, Timothy Brian King of Dalton, AR and Kristi (Chris) Nichols of Ravenden Springs, AR.; sisters, Deborah (Bob) Crawford of Bellview, MO., Donna (Allen) Emmons of Marion, AR., Sandra Trent of Elkins, AR., Charlotte (Don) Upshaw, Glenda (Roy) Causbie and Annette King all of Dalton, AR; brother, Joseph King of El Paso, TX.; seven grandchildren, Brent King, Morgan Williams, Nathan King, Natalie King, Kaci Nichols, Gavin Nichols and Mason King; nine great grandchildren. Many nieces and nephews, family and friends.

Visitation will be 12:00 – 2:00 P.M. Thursday, October 26, 2023. The funeral service will begin at 2:00 P.M. with Matthew Donner officiating. All services will be held in the McNabb Funeral Home Chapel. A burial will follow at Wells Cemetery.
