Stanley Gene Murray, 62, passed away December 25, 2016 at Lawrence Memorial Hospital. .

Stanley was born July 6, 1954 in Pocahontas, Arkansas to Eli and Rosetta Murray. He joined the US Air Force for 8 years and a River Boat Engineer for ACL for 30 years.

Stanley is survived by his mother Rosetta Mae Murray, two sons Brad and Melodie Murray of Pocahontas, Charles and Dusty Murray of Delaplaine, grandchildren Connor, Clayton, and Troy Murray. A brother Eli Alan and Lynn Murray of Delaplaine and sister Gay and Lyle Lowtharp of Pocahontas. Five nephews, one niece and one very special unofficial family member by choice Michael Beaver.

He is preceded in death by father Eli Murray and sister Sarah Jane Walker.

Visitation will be Thursday, December 29, 2016 from 5-7 p.m. With a memorial service immediately following at 7 p.m. with Scott Weddings officiating at McNabb Funeral Home Chapel. Cremation was chosen as final disposition.

The family ask that in lieu of flowers you leave a lasting memorial to the Walnut Ridge Children's Home.
