Shirley Ann Sorg, 75, of Pocahontas passed away Saturday, November 6, 2021 at her home.

She was born August 2, 1946 in Pocahontas to the late Frank and Josephine Pfeffer Thielemier.  She worked as a secretary at Hedger Brothers and was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Josephine Thielemier; and one sister, Aleen Warden.

Shirley is survived by her husband, Robert Sorg; children, Bobby (Kristi) Sorg of Pocahontas, Kevin (Amy) Sorg of Springdale, and Maria (Michael) Dickson of Pocahontas; grandchildren, Barkley Sorg, Kate Sorg, Claire Sorg, Mary Beth Sorg, Kaylee Dickson, and Aubree Dickson; siblings, Don Thielemier of Engelberg, Betty (Jerry) Lindsay of Engelberg, Jane Junkersfeld of Eureka, Kansas, Frank (Janice) Thielemier of Jefferson City, Missouri, Richard (Ellen) Thielemier of Engelberg, Steve (Joan) Thielemier of Dalton, and Jerry Allen Thielemier of Jonesboro; and many other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be Wednesday, November 10, 2021 from 5-7 PM in the chapel of McNabb Funeral Home with a Rosary will be said at 7 PM.  Funeral Mass will be Thursday, November 11, 2021 at 10 AM at St. Paul Catholic Church with Father Stephen Elser officiating.  Burial will follow at St. Paul Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Brad Thielemier, Ken Thielemier, Dr. Drew Jansen, Ralph Pink Baltz, Thomas Thielemier, and Hubert Steimel.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Charlotte Baltz, Becky Jansen, Judy Wurtz, Elaine Wallis, Connie Shanks, and Kathy Dust.
