Jonesboro- Shirley Mae Gibson, 79, passed Sunday, December 18, 2022 at St. Bernards Medical Center.

She was born May 17, 1943 in Weona to the late J.D. and Maxine Asbill Gibson. Shirley graduated in 1962 from Bay High School where she had played sports and was on the school newspaper. She had worked for Slant & Slant in Trumann for fifteen years and retired from World Color after thirty years. She enjoyed traveling and had gone to Hawaii seven times and an Alaskan Cruise and many other places. She loved taking care of her nieces and nephews.

She is survived by a sister, Mary Gibson of Lake City; two brothers, Ron Gibson (Linda) and Terry Gibson all of Jonesboro; two sisters-in-law, Alma Gibson of Carmel, IN and Karalee Gibson of Lake City and several nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by two brothers, L.D. Gibson and Larry Gibson and a sister, Deloros Gibson.

The visitation will be from 12:30 until 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 21, 2022 at Gregg-Langford Bookout Funeral Home.

A graveside service will be 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at Pine Log Cemetery. Interment will follow.
