Monette- Shelby Darr Markin Haney, 87, passed away on December 20, 2023. She was born May 28, 1936 in the Upper Poplar Ridge Community west of Monette to Floyd and Geneva Darr.

She is survived by her son, Ron; daughter, Kellye; grandchildren Lea, Korey and Blake, and great-grandson, Trey.

Shelby was predeceased by her first husband of 29 years, James Markin; her second husband of 32 years, Loran Haney; an infant son, Michael Markin; her parents, Floyd and Geneva Darr; sisters, Barbara, Margaret and Sharon.

A private family Celebration of Life was held on December 27, 2023 at Gregg Funeral Home in Monette. Interment is at Monette Memorial Cemetery.
