It is with great sadness that the family of Sheila Gail (Rainwater) Quarterman announces her passing on Tuesday, May 5, 2026 in a tragic accident taking her way too soon.

She was born May 29, 1967 in Rochelle, Illinois to Amzier and Linda Gail (Barnett) Rainwater. Sheila was an outgoing, fun loving, and extremely caring soul. She was dedicated to her work, her workplace friends, family, and her Lord and Savior. She was an avid lover of fur babies and always had a menagerie of them.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Timothy Quarterman; father, Amzier Rainwater; brother, Greg Rainwater; and grandparents, Joe and Nellie Barnett and Earl and Ader Rainwater.

Sheila is survived by her stepsons, Shawn and Timothy Quarterman; mother, Linda Rainwater; brothers, Mark (Tari) Rainwater and Joe (Barbara) Rainwater; nieces, Hannah, Rebecca, and Charlotte; nephew, Mark; by a large extended family and many friends.

Cremation has been chosen as the method of final disposition. A memorial visitation will be held Saturday, May 9, 2026 from 1:30-2:00 PM in the chapel of McNabb Funeral Home with a memorial service beginning at 2:00 PM with Zack Avery officiating.
