Jonesboro- Sharon Lynn Lansdell Oakes, 60, passed away Friday, March 4, 2022 at NEA Baptist Hospital.

She was born April 13, 1961 in Little Rock to late Robert Ellis and Mary Retha Smith Lansdell. Sharon graduated from Arkansas State University with a Bachelor Degree in Social Work. She had worked several years for DHS and was a substitute teacher and homemaker. She enjoyed sewing, talking, genealogy and spending time with her grandchildren.

She was survived by her husband, Charles Oakes; her children, David Franklin Taylor II, Stephen Ellis Taylor (Brittany), Michella Beth Stone (Greg) and Jessica Kate Taylor (Daniel Christofori) all of Jonesboro; step-children, Josuah Oakes (Megan) and Stacy Naquin (Steven) all of Monticello and  William Oakes of Newberry, FL; siblings, Ron Lansdell (Callie) of Gunison, Utah, Robert Lansdell (Mary) of England and Karen Ann Wells (Travis) of Galaz, VA: grandchildren, Haleigh, Jackson, Gaige, Bailey, Averi, Rainey, Addison, Braden and Allison and step-grand-children, Natalie, Mason, Kenzie, Daniel, Lizzie, Jacob and Danielle and several nieces and nephews.

A celebration of her life will be 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 9, 2022 at Gregg- Langford Bookout Funeral Home Chapel.

Visitation will be from 1:00 until 3:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Interment will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday at Rowell Cemetery near Rison.

Honored to serve as pallbearers are David Taylor II, Greg Stone, Jacob Stone, Daniel Christofori, Corey Smith, Chris Lawrence and Jay Warren.
