Sharon Kay Flanigan, 81, of Maynard passed away Thursday, January 23, 2025 at St. Bernard's Five Rivers Medical Center in Pocahontas.
She was born June 18, 1943 in Shelby Township, Michigan to the late Fredrick Philoman and Ann Isabel LeFever Gowell. She retired as a lead trainer with Intel and was a member of Maynard Methodist Church.
Sharon was preceded in death by her parents, Fredrick and Ann Gowell; husband, Eugen Flanigan; and sister, Gloria Jean Cornelius.
Sharon is survived by a son, Larry (Sherise) Flanigan of Muskegon, Michigan; daughter, Gena (Jeffrey) Laird of Buhl, Idaho; grandchildren, Jennifer (Gideon) Hershberger of Opal, Wyoming, Joshua (Billie) Laird of Buhl, Idaho, Tabitha Armand of Idaho, Larry Flanigan Jr. of Idaho, Joseph Flanigan of Muskegon, Michigan, Jacob Flanigan of Muskegon, Michigan, and Justin Flanigan of Muskegon, Michigan; great-grandchildren, Connor Raplee of Idaho, Colton Hershberger of Wyoming, Rowdy Hershberger of Wyoming, Emmy Flanigan of Idaho, Wade Laird of Idaho, Trinity Flanigan of Idaho, Leandra Flanigan of Idaho, James Flanigan of Idaho, and Kaylee Laird of Idaho; brothers, Robert Leroy Gowell of Maynard, Clarence Elmer Baxter of Maynard, and Larry Coons of Grand Haven, Michigan; many nieces and nephews; and special friends, Garry and Karen Neece, John and Pam Jobe, Dickie and Doris Flanigan, Amos and Cindy Lemons, Scott McNabb, Dee Hallert, and her beloved church family.
Visitation will be Thursday, January 30, 2025 from 10-11 AM at Maynard Methodist Church and a funeral service beginning at 11 AM with Willie Frazier officiating. Burial will follow in Warm Springs Cemetery under direction of McNabb Funeral Home.
