Mrs. Sharlan Kay Morton of Harrisburg, departed this life Friday, December 22, 2019, at her home, at the age of 68.
She was born January 12, 1949 in Jacksonville, IL, the daughter of the late Raymond Birdsell and Dorothy Hill Birdsell.
She was a homemaker and worked for H \u0026 R Block during tax time. She had also worked for Parker Hannifin in Trumann. She loved crocheting and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Harrisburg. She married Wesley Dale Morton on November 17, 1984 and they enjoyed 21 years together before his death in 2005.
She is survived by four sons, Donald R. Mibb of Harrisburg, William D. Mibb (Leann) of Smithville, TN, Dennis G. Mibb (Roxann) of Jacksonville, IL and Richard D. Mibb of Mishawaka, IN, two half-brothers, Wayne Pemberton and Ray Birdsell, both of Atlanta, GA, six grandchildren, Curtis Mibb, Erica Mibb, Dylan Garwood, Blake Mibb, Danielle Garwood, and Alyssa Mibb, and five great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held Friday, December 29, 2017, at the First Baptist Church in Harrisburg, from 6:00-7:00 p.m., with Brother Jerry Kausler officiating. There will be no visitation prior to services. Gregg-Weston Funeral Home of Harrisburg is in charge of arrangements.
