Monette-Sarah Jane Heise, 84, passed from this life on April 12, 2025, at St. Bernards Medical Center. She was born on August 17, 1940, in Lake City to the late Jeff and Lula May Simpkins.

Her career began at the Craighead County Tax Collectors office and ended in Little Rock with the Office of Professional Programs where she was a BAR Exam Administrator. She was very talented in so many ways, from cooking to where she was famous for her chocolate pies to creating her Old-World Santa's. She loved her family and her grandkids very much.

Heise is survived by her son: Freddie Hugh Heise III of Jonesboro; daughter: Diane (Mike) Langford; granddaughter: Morgan (Brad) Smith; grandson: Troy (Morgan) Langford; three great-grandchildren Hazel Smith, Bear Smith, and Margo Langford.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday April 16, 2025, at Gregg-Langford Lookout Funeral Home Chapel in Jonesboro beginning at 11 a.m. until service time. Services will follow at 12 p.m. with bro. John Miles officiating.

Honored to serve as pallbearers are Mike Langford, Troy Langford, Freddie Heise, Jeff Trammel, Brad Smith, and Mark Steel.

Honorary pallbearers are Christian Followers Sunday School Class of First Methodist Church in Jonesboro, AR and the Monette Class of 1958.
