Sara Lynn Rorex Boling died after a long battle with illness on January 12 in Jonesboro, Arkansas at the age of 63.

Sara is survived by her mother, Norma Rorex of Jonesboro; children, Jami (Michael) Shannon of Jonesboro and Jason (Michelle) DePriest of Clarksville, TN; grandchildren, Cierra, Katriona, Oliver, Wyatt, and Garrison; siblings, Mark and David Rorex, both of Jonesboro.

She is preceded in death by her father, Roy T. Rorex of Jonesboro.

Sara was born on February 19, 1959 at Saint Bernard's Hospital.  She graduated from Valley View High School in 1977. Her children remember her as a loving mother, although sometimes impractical, who encouraged them to pursue their goals.

Sara pursued a career in nursing and the industrial health and safety industry; including serving in the Arkansas chapter of the World Safety Organization. She was a passionate individual who was dedicated to making workplaces safer, and always offered help to anyone who needed it. She was a longtime fan of the New Orleans Saints, NASCAR, Dr Pepper, and Sonic, as well as a cat lover.  She was a member of Saint Paul United Methodist Church.  Sara's friends were very important to her, and the family would like to thank those who helped take care of her during her toughest times.

A private graveside funeral for close family will be held Friday, January 20, 2023 with a memorial service to follow at a later date. Arrangements were entrusted to Gregg-Langford Bookout Funeral Home.
