Lake City- Sanford "Sandy" Henderson Jr., 63, passed away Sunday, March 16, 2014 at his home. He was born November 6, 1950 in Coos Bay, Oregon to the late Sanford Leroy Henderson Sr. and Eva Conder Henderson. Sandy was the owner and operator of Monette Truck and Diesel for twenty-four years. He was a very hard worker who enjoyed hunting and helping people. He valued his employees and loved his wife, kids and grandkids. He was survived by his wife, Candice Henderson; his children, Gena Henderson of Monette, Cassandra Henderson of Lake City and Tony Henderson of Southaven, Mississippi; five grandchildren, Blake Sparkman and Katelyn Sparkman both of Monette, Tyler Henderson and Treston Henderson both of Southaven and Kylen Henderson of Lake City; a cousin, Herbert Proctor of Tichnor. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Gary Henderson. A celebration of his life will be 2:00 pm, Wednesday, March 19, 2013 at Gregg Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Terry Miller officiating. Burial will follow at the Monette Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 pm, Tuesday at Gregg Funeral Home in Monette. Honored to serve as pallbearers are Scott McLaughlin, Sean Bunch, B. J. Bunch, Kevin McIllwain, Greg Griggs and Aaron Liles and as honorary pallbearers, Cris McIllwain, Joe Tackett, Nathan Parnell, Jerry Heinklin, Nelson Parker and James Shuburt.
