Following Services
Sandra Jo Kincade, age 78, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 16, 2026. She is no longer in pain, and free from the sorrows of this world. She is now living in her heavenly home full of peace, joy, and comfort.
She was preceded in death by her parents Robert “Bob” Shipp and Zella Pauline “Polly” Shipp; daughter, Rhonda Kincade; and brother, Jim Shipp.
She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Gary David Kincade of Pocahontas; daughter, Paula (Tony) Gazaway of Jonesboro; sons, Gary (Lana) Kincade, Jr. of Pocahontas and Norman Kincade of Corning; eight grandsons, Calvin (Mallorie) Kincade, Brett (Michelle) Kincade, Zachary Kincade, Cameron Lamb, Clinton Kincade, Joseph Kincade, Bradley Kimble, and Graham Gazaway; five great-grandchildren, Xander Kincade, Myles Kincade, Dyclan Kincade, Rylynn Kimble, and Christian Honey; and sister, Kathy Shipp.
She spent 29 years as a teacher’s Aide at Alma Spikes Elementary School in Pocahontas where she devoted herself to working with students, heling and watching them learn. She had a special God-given gift for teaching. She was lovingly referred to as Ms. Sandy “The Dandy.” A name given to her by her students.
So many nieces and nephews, too many to name one by one, that have many memories of their Aunt Sandy. She loved them all deeply.
Last but not least, the “Kincade Family” who became her family all those years ago who welcomed her with open arms.
Our “Mom,” “Granny,” “Ms. Sandy,” “Aunt Sandy,” and “Sister Sandy,” had a kind genuine love for all of her family and friends. She is leaving behind a lifetime of love, laughter, and so many hilarious stories.
On Saturday, June 27, 2026, visitation and funeral services will be held at First Assembly of God in Pocahontas beginning at 11:00 AM. She will then be laid to rest in Sutton Cemetery in Pocahontas.
Honored to serve as Pallbearers are her eight grandsons and her nephews will serve as Honorary Pallbearers.
All services are under the direction of McNabb Funeral Home.
