Sandra Sue Burgett, 81, of High Ridge, Missouri, passed away on Saturday, December 30, 2023 after a battle with diabetes and congestive heart disease.

Sandy was born on December 17, 1942 in Pocahontas, Arkansas. After graduating from Maynard High School, she moved to St. Louis, Missouri.

Sandy was predeceased by her parents, Earl and Marie Shocklee, brother James "Sonny" Shocklee, sister Earl Dean Baltz, and sister-in-law Janice Shocklee. She is survived by her husband, Chester Burgett; her two children, Brady Burgett and Cindy (Michael) Horn; her grandchildren, Karlee (George) Schmitt, Devin Horn, Dawson Burgett, and Kyndall Burgett; two brothers, Johnny (Nancy) Shocklee and Donald Shocklee; many nieces and nephews; and her beloved dog Daisy.

Our family is grateful to know that Sandy is finally at peace in Heaven with Jesus surrounded by family.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Missouri Humane Society, a cause Sandy cared deeply about.

There will be a graveside visitation Saturday, January 6, 2024 at 1:30 pm followed by a graveside service at 2:00 pm at Palestine Cemetery under direction of McNabb Funeral Home.
