Obituary
Mr. Sam Golden of Jonesboro, departed this life Saturday, October 7, 2017, at the St. Bernard's Medical Center at the age of 58.
He was born September 5, 1959 in Jonesboro, the son of Douglas Golden and Jackie Wheeler Golden.
Sam spent most of his life in the insurance business and was currently serving as the territory manager for Progressive Insurance. He married Lisa Sitzer on December 4, 1987 and they enjoyed 30 years together. Sam loved the outdoors and hunting and was very fond of his two Scottish Terriers.
He was a member of Blessed Sacrament Church in Jonesboro.
He is survived by his mother, Jackie Golden of Jonesboro, his wife, Lisa Golden of the home, and two brothers, Dennis Golden (Pat) of Ravenden, AR and Scott Golden (Misty) of Jonesboro. He was preceded in death by his father, Douglas Golden.
Friends may visit at Gregg Langford-Bookout Funeral Home Tuesday evening, 5:00-7:00 p.m.
Funeral Services will be private with burial in St. Anthony's Cemetery in Weiner. Pallbearers will be Jeff Cole, David Vance, Don Lindsey, Jay Page, Jordan Sitzer and Noah Sitzer.
