Ruth D. Duncan, 94 passed away Wednesday, January 27, 2021 at her home in Pocahontas.

Ruth was born June 22, 1926 to the late Edward and Vera Dickson Hudson in Grand Tower, Il. Ruth married her husband, Bill Duncan December 18, 1948. She worked at the Brown Shoe Company for many years.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward, and Vera Dickson Hudson; husband Bill Duncan; a sister Margaret Huffman; two brothers Jimmy Hudson and Edward Hudson; granddaughter Andrea Garrett and grandson Michael Garrett and a son in law, Jim Garrett.

She is survived by her children, Debbie (Jerry) Childress of Pocahontas, Melinda (Tommie) Briggs of South Fulton TN, Kty Duncan of Pocahontas, Billie Duncan of Pocahontas, and Blake (Krystal) Duncan of Pocahontas; grandchildren, Natasha Briggs, Jason (Pamela) Briggs of South Fulton, TN, Taylor Duncan of Utah, Kearson (Trevor) Collins of Harrison AR, Kristian, Raden and River Duncan of Pocahontas; Great grandchildren, Jada Briggs, Garrett Karr, Bayley Sisco, Adisson and Ashlynn Garrett and Emma Collins; sister, Mable Simmons of Jacksonville IL and sister-in-law, Brenda McCandless of Pocahontas; many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Saturday, January 30, 2021 from 12:00 - 2:00 p.m. in the McNabb Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral service will begin at 2:00 p.m. Burial to follow in Randolph Memorial Gardens.

Pallbearers honored to serve are Jason Briggs, Kristian Duncan, Jerry Childress, Raden Duncan, Brett Glass and Garrett Karr.

To follow the directives of Arkansas Governor Asa Hutchinson, masks covering the mouth and nose are required for all persons in Arkansas for all indoor and outdoor settings, with exposure to non-household members where social distancing cannot be assured. Those attending will also be asked to sign a contact registry and maintain a social distance.
