Jonesboro - Mrs. June Broadaway, 86, passed away Tuesday, August 4, 2020, at St. Bernards Medical Center.
She was born on June 9, 1934 at Bay to the late Bill and Minnie Lee Casteel Morgan. She retired from Frolic Footwear after over 40 years in the administrative office. She enjoyed working in her garden and flowers and loved spending time with her loving granddaughers and was a member of the First Baptist Church. She was a loving mother and grandmother.
She is survived by a son, Steve Broadaway, two granddaughters, Kylie Broadaway of Drasco and Baylie Broadaway of Jonesboro; two brothers, Donald (Dorothy) Morgan of Williford and Larry (Linda) Morgan of Fort Worth, TX; two sisters, Wanda Schisler of Jonesboro and Betty (Eldon) Shoebroek of Katy, TX; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Willis Broadaway, one sister, Ruby Eldord and two brothers, James Morgan and Elvis Morgan.
A graveside service to celebrate her life will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thurday, August 6, 2020 at the Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery with Rev. Wynndel King officiating. Burial will follow under the direction of the Gregg-Langford Bookout Funeral Home.
Visitation will be Thursday from 9 am until 10 am at the funeral home. Due to COVID restrictions please practice social distancing and a face mask is required in the building.
Honored to serve as honorary pallbearers will be Frank Hinshaw, Mark Hinshaw, Doyle Neyman, Derrick Elrod and David Morgan.
