Pocahontas- Russell M "Rusty" Sloan, 59, passed away suddenly on September 10, 2017.

Rusty was born June 19, 1958 in Pocahontas, AR to Russell and Frances Gant Sloan.

He was preceded in death by his father Russell M. Sloan.

He is survived by his mother, Frances Sloan of Pocahontas; wife, Melba Sloan of the home; children, Shannan Rhodes of Galesville, WI, Sam Sloan, Keith Sloan both of Swifton; sister, Karen Pacini of Pocahontas; and extended family Brock, Sabrina, Cameron, and Charlie Buys all of Walnut Ridge.

Visitation will be Thursday, September 14, 2017 from 5-7 pm at McNabb Funeral Home. No funeral service since cremation was chosen.

The family asks that no flowers be sent and any donations can be made in his honor to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or Arkansas Children's Hospital.
