Obituary

Mr. Russell Ellis Hooker, of Harrisburg, departed this life Saturday, September 19, 2015, at his home, at the age of 66. He was born February 18, 1949, in Whitten, AR, the son of Oliver Hooker and Pearl Ellis Hooker. He was a former construction worker. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed fishing, camping, and canoeing. He loved his family and traveling and was known for being adventurous and joking. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Donna Hooker, two brothers, Don Hooker and Tommy Hooker, and one sister, Mary Feathers. He is survived by his wife, Eva Hooker, of the home, two daughters, Angie Coleman (Roger) of West Memphis, and Shelley Hooker of Oklahoma City, OK, two brothers, Richard Hooker of Chidester, AR and Charles Hooker of Camden, two sisters, Doris Pitts of Marked Tree, and Wanda Bixler of Little Rock, three stepsons, Dennis Saddler, Kevin Saddler and Bryan Saddler, Six Grandchildren, Kevin Saddler, Jr., Kelli Saddler, Kristi Saddler, Charlie Saddler, Josie Saddler, and Jonathan Terrell, and one great granddaughter, Addie Chism. A Memorial Service will be held 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, at Gregg-Weston Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Dan Brawner officiating. There will be no visitation.
