Pocahontas- Rufus Macchia, 80 passed away June 29, 2017 at home.
Rufus was born February 17, 1937 in Utica, New York to Rufus Sr and Matilda De'Amore Macchia.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Troy Macchia; brother, Carmine Macchia; sisters, Henrietta Macchia and Mary Jane Pastor.
He is survived by his wife, Arlene Macchia of the home; children, Anthony Macchia of Pocahontas; Mark Macchia of Shoreview, MN, Tracy Macchia of Durham, NC; grandchildren, Whitney Nazari, Tiffany Young, Anthony Macchia Jr., Toni-Marie Macchia, Mark Macchia; and 8 great grandchildren.
A memorial service and burial will be held on Wednesday, July 5, 2017 at 11 am at Maynard Cemetery. Arrangement under direction of McNabb Funeral Home.
