Pocahontas - Ruby Pauline Seamans, 89, passed away Sunday, March 21, 2010. Born August 27, 1920 in Randolph County to the late Jasper \u0026 Mary Wheeler Persful. She is preceded in death by husband, Ray Seamans. Sons, Bill and Max Seamans. Grandson, Kim Reed. Brothers, David and Warren Persful. Sister, Marie Persful. Son-in-law, Neil Reed, Jr. Survivors include daughters; Mrs. James Ray (Bobbye Reed) Martin and Mrs. Harry Fuzz (Mary Jo) Kirksey. 11 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, and 9 great great grandchildren. Brother, Emmett Persful and sister, Reba McGlothlin. Mrs. Seamans had worked at Brown Shoe for 17 years, owned and operated Polly's Caf at the Y in Pocahontas for several years, and also worked at the Sale Barn Caf. She also was a member at Sutton Free Will Baptist Church and was a chairman over Sutton Cemetery Board. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Sutton Cemetery Fund. Services will be held Wednesday, March 24, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at the Sutton Free Will Baptist Church with Randy Scott officiating. Burial will follow to Sutton Cemetery. Visitation will be held Tuesday night from 5-8:00 p.m. in the Chapel of McNabb Funeral Home. Pallbearers include: Kerry Crismon, Jeremy Crismon, Eric Moore, Josh Reed, Garrett Burris, Trey Martin, Mason Reed, and Zachary Burris. Honorary Pallbearers include all great grandsons.
