Maynard- Ruby Pauline Melton, 79, daughter of the late James and Eulah Alphin, passed away Monday, July 25, 2011 at her home. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Curtis Franklin Melton, brother, James Manley and two sisters Lena Taylor and Jaunita Dobbs. She is survived by three sons, James Melton and wife Linda of Harrison, Paul Melton and wife Sandy of Colorado Springs, CO and Charles Melton and wife April of Maynard, two daughters, Barbara Burrough of Jonesboro and Debbie Melton and Joe Bison of Collinwood, TN. Grandchildren, Curtis Melton and wife Jessie of Harrison, Brian Melton and wife Shawna of Sheridan, AR, Amanda Melton of Colorado Springs, CO, Brandi Barnett and Husband David, Trent Melton and wife Ashley both of Maynard, AR, Lavon Butler and wife Terri, Cassie Burks and husband Shea, and Matthew Gragg and Wife Allison all of Jonesboro. Great grandchildren, Jhett and Quinn Melton, Taylor, Brock, and Kinley Melton, Callie, Eathan, and Ava Melton, Jackson Butler and Skyler Balley, Aliyah and Ragan Burks, Braxton Gragg and one Great grandson on the way. Siblings, George Alphin of Pocahontas, Maxine Melton of Cherokee Village, Claire Marie Mitchell of Jacksonville, Florida, Mary Lou Little of Knoxville, TN , Connie Deardon of Abilene, TX and James Dwight Alphin and wife Denna of Pocahontas, AR. "Mama passed just after day light on Monday. There was a light fog and a soft summer breeze. She slipped away to the sound of her morning doves singing in the yard outside her window. She was surrounded by her children as she went home. We love you, Momma." Service was held Friday, July 29, 2011 at 2:00 pm in The Chapel of McNabb Funeral Home with Zane Gragg officiating. Burial followed in Masonic Cemetery. Visitation was Thursday from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Pallbearers included Curt Melton, Brian Melton, Lavon Butler, Trent Melton, Shea Burks and Matthew Gragg. The family would like to say a special thanks to the very special ladies that helped momma and dad to stay in their own home during their final years. Bernadette Ungerank, Shirley Dust, Shirley Johnson, Betty Foster and also a special thank you to the ladies at Caring Hand Hospice, Vicky Hamilton and Linda East.
