Monette- Ruby Loudean Key, 83, passed away Tuesday, January 9, 2018 at Monette Manor.

She was born November 23, 1934 in Caraway to the late Harvey and Winnie Brickell Ballard. She was a homemaker and enjoyed raising her children. She enjoyed watching birds and butterflies. Loudean was a very loving angel, always smiling no matter how bad she felt. She was a longtime member of the Church of Christ in Caraway.

She is survived by her children, Nancy Milligan (Ronnie) of Monette, Barbara Hicks (Pete) of Caraway, Harvey Key (Katrina) of Pocahontas, Patricia Jarrett (David) of Harrisburg and Michael Key of Leachville; two brothers, Donald Ballard (Nadine) of Leachville and Gene Ballard (Ruthie) of Peoria, IL; a sister, Shirley McNamara of Jonesboro; several grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

She is also preceded in death by a son, Dennis Key and six brothers, Hubert Ballard, Larry Ballard, Herbert Ballard, Marvin Ballard, Harvey Ballard Jr. and Gerald Ballard.

A graveside service to celebrate her life will be 2:00 pm Wednesday, January 10, 2018 at Monette Memorial Cemetery. Interment will follow under the direction of Gregg Funeral Home of Monette.

The family will receive friends from 11:30 am until 1:30 pm Wednesday at Gregg Funeral Home in Monette.

Honored to serve as pallbearers are her grandchildren.
