Pocahontas - Ruby Violet Cassidy, 72, passed away Saturday, March 20, 2010 after a lengthy illness. Born March 12, 1938 in Ingram, AR to the late Fenton and Valicia (Jones) Holdcroft. Married Cleo Cassidy, Jr. On January 8, 1957. Graduate of PHS, Class of 1956 and ASU College of Nursing and Health Professions with a RN degree in 1985. She loved creativity and was passionate about painting and sewing and reading the Bible. Her love of celebrations and traditions made all the holidays special, especially Thanksgiving. She will be greatly missed by her husband, Cleo Cassidy, Jr. Three sons; Steve, Michael, and James Cassidy and 6 grandchildren. Her brother, Boyd Holdcroft and sisters; Kathleen Winebaugh and Deleta Cabezas. Preceded in death by brothers; Wesley and Arvin Holdcroft. Service will be held Saturday, March 27, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. in the Chapel of McNabb Funeral Home with Rev. Melvin Shelton officiating. Burial will follow to Spikes Cemetery. Visitation will be held Saturday morning from 8-10:00 a.m.
