Jonesboro- Ruby Dell Boyd Baker Schochler, 74, passed away Wednesday, March 2, 2016 at her residence. She was born December 11, 1941 in Smithville to the late Luther and Mable Capps Boyd. She graduated from Bay High School, where she was the captain of her basketball team. She was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Jonesboro. Ruby was a real estate agent at White Reality, where she was a Million Dollar Producer. She was owner and operated of the Nutrition Center and Ruby's Lingerie Boutique and as well as being an award winning manager of Claire's Boutique in the Indian Mall. She loved gardening, working in the yard and collecting antiques. Above all she loved her family, her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She always put her family first in her life. She is survived by her husband, Russell Schochler; her children, Ginger Cay Baker Thomson and husband John of Atlanta, GA and Larry Eugene "Gene" Baker Jr. of Jonesboro; special daughter-in-law, Tracy Bland Baker of Jonesboro; grandchildren, Caitlyn Grey Finley Lorenzana (Alex) of Jonesboro, Morgan Jade Baker of Jonesboro and Colten Garrett Baker of Memphis; great-grandchildren, Kyler Whitehead, Josiah Alexander Lorenzana and Victor Jofet Lorenzana all of Jonesboro; brothers, L. J. Boyd (Barbara) of Jonesboro and Bill Boyd of Harrison; sister, Frances Boyd Adelizzi (Paul) of Ft. Meyers, FL; sister-in-law, Clois Baker Ferguson (Calvin) of Cabot; first husband, Larry E. Baker Sr. of Lawrenceville, GA; family friend, Connie Hanusowski of Jonesboro; many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was also preceded in death by a grandson, Christopher Grant Finley; sisters, infant- Wanda Lee Boyd, Lavinia Geneva Boyd Gambill and Dorothy Boyd Reed. A celebration of her life will be 2:00 pm Saturday, March 5, 2016 at Gregg- Langford Bookout Funeral Home Chapel with Minister Wade Carpenter officiating. Burial will follow at Pine Log Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 pm Friday, March 4, 2016 at Gregg- Langford Bookout Funeral Home. Honored to serve as pallbearers are David Richardson, Joe Richardson, Alex Hanusowski, Terry Carpenter, John Whitehead and Todd Himschoot and has honorary pallbearers, Colten Baker, Kyler Whitehead, Allen Griffin and Chris Simmons.
