Jonesboro- Roy Gene Schreiber, 77, passed away Friday August 12, 2016 at NEA Baptist Hospital. He was born on July 3, 1939 in Fort Smith to Frank Schreiber and Virginia Martin Schreiber. He was a salesman most of his life, was an 1/8 Cherokee Indian. While attending a support group for polio survivors met his wife, Shirley, they raised their two children in Memphis. Roy was actively involved in youth sports, never missed a game, put a glove in a boys hand at eight years old and he still plays today, was an avid Razorback fan, enjoyed playing cards, loved helping others, had a great sense of humor with a magnetic personality and liked chasing women. He was preceded in death in addition to his parents, a grandson, Joshua Elliott. He is survived by a daughter, Kim Elliott of Jonesboro; a son, Martin Schreiber of San Diego, California; a grandson, Chris "Turtle" Elliott of Jonesboro. A Memorial service will be held at a later date arrangements are entrusted to the Gregg-Langford Bookout Funeral Home.
