IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Ronnie Lee
Richardson
June 17, 1951 – June 4, 2023
Ronnie Lee Richardson, 71, was born June 17, 1951, in Blytheville and passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 4, 2023 at St. Bernards Medical Center
He was raised by his father, George Richardson, and grandmother Bessie, who preceded him in death. After graduating from Arkansas State University, he went on to become a Certified Public Accountant.
Professionally, Ronnie enjoyed assisting both clients and family with their business and financial needs. He was well known in local, state and federal government circles for his financial management abilities, including long stints as treasurer for congressmen Bill Alexander and Marion Berry, and he served as a trusted advisor to numerous government officials over his career and took great pride in helping others with his deep knowledge in the field.
Ronnie had a special spot in his heart for all animals, especially dogs. Feeding the deer, turkey and other wildlife in his backyard brought him daily joy and spoiling the family dogs always brought a smile to his face.
Above all, Ronnie put his children and family before all other areas of his life. His most cherished memories were spending time with his boys over the years whether it be over meals, watching ballgames together or coaching their baseball teams and is remembered simply as "Coach" by many former players at Northside Park. This love for baseball would lead to the opening of Homerun Card Shop with his oldest son Justin.
Ronnie is survived by his wife of 49 years, Jane; one brother, Tommy, and three sons, Justin Richardson of Jonesboro, Wesley Richardson (Leslie) of Little Rock, and Brian Richardson (Marissa) of Jonesboro.
In 2012 Ronnie and Jane were blessed with two grandchildren, Harper and Liam, and then with Ryder in 2014. Ronnie loved spending time with them and watching them grow up. They were his pride and joy, and he always looked forward to hearing about their latest accomplishments.
A celebration of his life will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, June 8, 2023 at Gregg- Langford Bookout Funeral Home with Pastor Matt Smith officiating. Interment will follow at Oaklawn Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until time of service Thursday at the funeral home.
Honored to serve as pallbearers are Bill Butler, Landon Butler, Zach Butler, Mike Malone, Scott Ellington and Kyle Priest.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Make-a-Wish Foundation in his memory.
