Mr. Ronnie Dale Carter of Harrisburg, departed this life Saturday morning, November 7, 2020, at the Flo \u0026 Phil Hospice house in Jonesboro, at the age of 70.
He was born July 6, 1950 in Jonesboro, the son of Garland Carter and Virginia Walker Carter.
Ronnie graduated high school in Helena and then attended the Phillips County Community College. Following school he began a career in the supermarket business and also drove a truck. He loved playing his quitar and singing and also enjoyed riding motorcycles. He was a Baptist and was preceded in death by his father, Garland Carter, his wife, Cathi Carter, and one sister, Susie Puckett.
He is survived by his mother, Virginia Carter of West Helena, two daughters, Leigh Ann Ballard (Brad) of Olive Branch, MS, and Jenni Cheek (Mike) of Harrisburg, two sisters, Brenda Holland (Don) and Carolyn Richardson (J.L.), both of West Helena, six grandchildren, Megan Kinsella (Joe), Eric Turner, Amber Bach (Phil), Blake Cheek, Nicole Forester (Tanner), Micah Cheek, and six great grandchildren, Connor Bach, Aleeah Cheek, Eli Cheek, Ace Cheek, Elizabeth Forester, and Carter Forester.
Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 10, 2020, at the Gregg-Weston Funeral Home Chapel in Harrisburg. Friends may visit at the funeral home, noon till 1:00 p.m. There will be no interment services.
