Ronnie Glenwood Bailey, 70, of San Antonio, Texas, passed away on November 4, 2022, after a lengthy illness.
Ronnie was born on April 4, 1952, to Norman and Winnie Faye Thomas Bailey in Caraway. After Ronnie graduated from Andress High School in 1970, he went to the University of Texas El Paso for a year. Ronnie went to work in the oil fields in Houston for many years working on the equipment. Ronnie moved to Dallas where he got a job with the United States Postal Service in Dallas where he worked as a machinist mechanic. Ronnie received several awards and commendations for coming up with items that would improve the production of the machines he worked on at the postal service. Ronnie loved to watch college football, the NFL, and NBA. His passion was planting his garden and taking care of the flowers and his family.
Ronnie was preceded in death by his grandparents Lee and Ruby Thomas; mother, Winnie Faye Clyburn; his father, Norman Bailey, and his sister, Judy Underwood.
Ronnie is survived by his sister, Carol Kendall of San Antonio; his brother, Terry Bailey and his wife Jo of Mansfield, Texas; his nephew, Mike Kendall and his wife Kelley of San Antonio, Texas; nephew, Christopher Olack and his partner Irene of San Antonio, his niece, Ronda Baker and her husband Gary of Burleson, Texas; great nieces, McKalyn Pollard of Burleson, Cara Olack of San Antonio, Myah Olack of San Antonio; a great nephew, Nolan Baker of Burleson; his aunt, Connie Thomas; his uncle, Houston Thomas and his wife Georgia all of Black Oak, and numerous cousins.
A visitation will be held from 1:00 PM-2:00 PM with services to follow at 2:00 at Gregg Funeral home in Monette on Saturday, November 19, 2022.
Services will be led by Brother Joshua Parnell. Ronnie will be buried at Potters Cemetery in Lepanto.
Honored to serve as pallbearers, Rick Thomas, Josh Cureton, Landon Thomas, Stacey Thomas, Christopher Thomas, and Tanner Thomas.
