Former Randolph County Judge Ronald Martin Barnett, 67, of Maynard passed away Monday, August 24, 2026 at his home.

He was born October 15, 1958 in Kansas to the late Elvia and Nelda Hightower Barnett. Ronnie served Randolph County as County Judge and as road department foreman. In his younger days he worked as a sawmiller and farmer. He was of the Baptist belief.

He was preceded in death by his parents Elvia and Nelda Barnett; wife, Janet Thompson Barnett; daughter, Amanda Barnett Lindsey; and brothers, Eldon, Tim, and Michael Barnett.

Ronnie is survived by his sisters, Mary (Scott) Thomas of Pocahontas, Connie Barnett of Pocahontas, Melissa Barnett of Pocahontas, and Lisa (Jerry) Vankirk of Pocahontas; brother in law and sisters in law, James and Renee Thompson of Maynard, Joyce Radcliff of Pocahontas, and Jackie Lincoln of Searcy; special nephew, Matt Barnett of Pocahontas; and by many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and many other relatives and friends.

All services will be held in the chapel of McNabb Funeral Home. Visitation will be Friday, August 28, 2026 from 5-7 PM. Funeral Service will be Saturday, August 29, 2026 at 10 AM with Rick Hassell and Mike Roberts officiating. Burial will follow in Maynard Cemetery.

Honored to serve as Pallbearers are Mason Seawel, Matt Barnett, Isaac Seagraves, Noah Seagraves, Hunter Thompson, and Derek Manning.
