Jonesboro- Ronald Olan Bandy, 66, passed away Wednesday, August 31, 2016 at St. Bernards Medical Center. He was born July 15, 1950 in Jonesboro to the late Olan and Louise T. Bandy. He served his country proudly in the United States Army during Vietnam. Ronald had lived in Jonesboro since 1988 formerly of Texas. He was President of the Northeast Arkansas Site Contractors in Jonesboro and a heavy equipment operator. He loved to work, his family and his poodles, Amber Renee and Petey Bear. He is survived by his wife of 24 years, Vickie Lynn Bandy; three sisters, Linda Eastup and Laura Bolin both of Iowa and Teresa Morgan and husband James of Jonesboro; two brothers, Jim Bandy and wife Debbie of Alabama and Steve Bandy of Jonesboro; and several nieces and nephews. A celebration of his life will be 2:00 pm Saturday, September 3, 2016 at Gregg- Langford Bookout Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Eddy Lapiro officiating. Interment will follow at Oaklawn Cemetery with military honors. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 pm Friday, September 2, 2016 at the funeral home. Honored to serve as pallbearers are Jeremy Morgan, Dennis West, James Salzer, Jessie Bandy, Grant Salzer and Jordan Bandy. The family requests casual dress for the funeral service according to Ronald's wishes. Lasting memorials may be sent to Northeast Arkansas Humane Society or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
