Pocahontas- Roberta Melvina "Wendy" Swofford Dauer, 92, passed away December 14, 2016.
Roberta was born January 23, 1924 in Fredericktown, MO to the late Thomas Wiley and Lily Olive Hency Swofford. She received a BS degree in nursing at Edmondsville, MO College. She retired after 65 years as a Registered Nurse.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, James L. Dauer; grandson, Kenneth Dauer; 2 brothers; and 6 sisters.
She is survived by 2 sons, Sam (Vickie) Dauer of Huntsville, AL, Richard (Donna) Dauer of Waterloo, IL; grandchildren Erica Dauer-Peterzell of Florida, James Dauer of Waterloo, IL; great grandchildren, Leanna and Justin Peterzell, Kenneth Peterzell; and special caretaker, Rose Neighbors.
Cremation was chosen as final disposition. Arrangements under the direction of McNabb Funeral Home.
