Robert Wesley "Bob" Martin, 64, of Pocahontas passed away, Friday, July 16, 2021 at his home.

Bob was born on September 8, 1956, to the late Lester Wilbur Martin and Earnestine (Roach) Martin in Pocahontas, Arkansas.

Bob was a good man that literately would give the shirt off his back to others in need. As a young man he farmed; as an adult he was an over the road truck driver and he started his own business, Martin Trucking and Construction.

Preceded in death by his wife, Joyce Marie (Elliott) Martin; son, Shane Christoper Martin; parents, grandparents Harry Robert Martin and Ethel (Holmstrom) Martin, and Uncle Robert (Bob) H Martin.

Survived by sons, Eric and Cody Martin, daughter, Brittany (Martin) Vance, five grandchildren and brother, Victor (Vonda) Martin and Aunt Hazel L Martin all of Pocahontas.

Bob leaves behind may dear friends, especially Tom Brown and family, Jerry Chastine and family, Roger (Darlene) McQuay, Roger (Donna) Guthrie,Ted (the late Jeannie) Grissom, David Lemmons (Jamie), Mary (Bill) Jones, Clint Seagraves, Dick Waymon, Tweedy Transport Company staff, Cheryl Simpson, Beth Ballard, Beatrice Ragsdell, and Janet Shirley.

Graveside services were held 2:00 pm Sunday, July 18, 2021, at Brockett Cemetery with Joshua Dement officiating.

Honored to serve as pallbearers were Jason Brown, Ryan Brown, David Lemmons, Ted Grissom, Chris Gibson and grandson Blake Martin.

Honorary Pallbearers are Tom Brown, Jerry Chastine, Dick Waymon, Roger McQuay, Roger Guthrie, and Clint Seagraves.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be sent to Brockett Cemetery.
