Robert Marion Smith

Mr. Robert Smith, of Harrisburg, departed this life on Thursday, August  6, 2026, surrounded by his family, at the age of 66.

He was born on November 17, 1959, the son of the late Edward and Gladys Whitehead Smith, in Harrisburg, Arkansas.

Robert was a mechanic for many years; he was a devout Christian man and devoted to his family. He will be missed by his loved ones and the community. He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter, Rhonda Smith, a son, Raymond Jones and a wife, Kitty Smith, as well as most of his siblings. Robert is survived by his wife, Tammy Smith, three daughters, Tonya (Robert) McCullough, Latricia (Harley) Vermilyea, Heather Thibodeaux, two sons, Jeremy (Amanda) Jones and Jonathan Jones, two sisters, six grandchildren, Robert McCullough, Trace Jones, Tristen Jones, Hailey Jones, Owen Gandy, Aiden Jones and one on the way.

Funeral services are 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 11, 2026, at the Gregg-Weston Funeral Home Chapel in Harrisburg with Brother Gregg Hoskins officiating. Burial will follow in Lewis Cemetery, in Hickory Ridge. Friends may visit at the funeral home on Monday, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Pallbearers will include Jeremy Jones, Jonathan Jones, Robert McCullough, Richard Hicks, James Armstrong and Larry Austin. Honorary pallbearers will be Robert McCullough, Pat Winnchester, William White and Harley Vermilyea.

Robert is in God’s hands.
