Lake City- Robert Melvin Rudder, 87, passed away Tuesday, January 30, 2024 at his home.

He was born August 26, 1936 in Lake City to the late George and Carrie Ginger Rudder. Robert graduated in 1956 from Dixie High School and also earned an Associate Degree in Accounting. He attended Refuge General Baptist Church in Lake City and was an avid golfer.

He is survived by his children, Robin Vore of Belvidere, IL, Mary Rudder of Lake City, Jacqueline Tant of Paragould and Charles Rudder (Susie) of Paragould; fourteen grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandson.

He was also preceded in death by a son, George Rudder and a sister, Jacqueline Salata.

A graveside service will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, February 6, 2024 at Pine Log Cemetery in Brookland with Rev. Steve Hinkle officiating. Interment will follow under the direction of Gregg-Langford Bookout Funeral Home.
