Obituary

Bay- Robert G.W "Red" Koster, 72, passed away Saturday April 11, 2015 at St Bernard's Medical Center. He was born May 17, 1942 to the late Leslie L. Koster and Gertrude Bowden Koster in Marked Tree. Mr. Koster was a HVAC installer and proudly served his country in the U.S Army during Vietnam. He loved to fish, travel, watch westerns and spending time with his local VFW Buddies. He graduated Jonesboro High School in 1961. He is survived by two sons; Garry Koster (Amanda) and Robert Koster (Loria) both of Jonesboro, a daughter; Gretta Browning of Bay, a step-son; James Barber of Little Rock, two sisters; Joan House (Tony) and Carolyn "K.K." Shirley (Neil) of Jonesboro, two brothers; Jerry Koster (Carolyn ) and Russell "Rusty" Koster of Jonesboro, six grandchildren; Stacy Fox (D.J), Devan Koster (Amirah), Kyle Koster, Byron Koster of Jonesboro, Stephanie Hargis (Brad) of Ponca City, OK and John Caleb Browning of Bay and three great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents he was proceeded by a son; Lesley Koster. A celebration of his life will be 2:00 pm Thursday, April 16, 2015 at the Gregg-Langford Bookout Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Steve Evans officiating. Burial will follow at Pine Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be 12:00 until 2:00 pm Thursday, April 16, 2015 at the funeral home. Honored to serve as pallbearers are Devan Koster, John Caleb Browning, Byron Koster, Kyle Koster, D.J Fox and Brad Hargis. Honorary pallbearers are Charles Ritter, Mike Johnson, Stacy Fox and Stephanie Hargis and all of his VFW Buddies.
