Robert Clenton Pounds, 74, of Pocahontas, passed away Thursday, September 24, 2020 at NEA Baptist Hospital.
He was born February 18, 1946 in Corning to the late Frank and Hazel Garrett Pounds. He was a carpenter, avid Cardinal fan, master fish and hushpuppy cooker, loved turkey hunting, and was a member of Pocahontas First Assembly of God.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Carlos Pounds; and sister, Lorene Hobbs.
He is survived by his wife, Susan Graddy Pounds; son, Robert A. Pounds of Pocahontas; daughters, Tracy Pratt of Reyno and Callie Pounds of Pocahontas; sisters, Dorothy and Evelyn; and special kids, Ashlyn, Alexis, and Landon who called him "Working Man", Rex Tedder who called him "Buddy", and Layton, Reese, and Quinn who called him "Mr. Rob-Brett", and many other relatives and friends.
Those honored to serve as pallbearers are Chris Graddy, Terry Wayne Graddy, Ronnie Joe Graddy, Gene Martin, Jay Hobbs, and Rick Johnston.
Honorary pallbearers are Rex Tedder and Dalton Ross Graddy.
Visitation will be Sunday, September 27, 2020 from 1-2 PM in the chapel of McNabb Funeral Home with a funeral service beginning at 2 PM with Terry Miller officiating. Burial will follow in Legate Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Autism Association of Northeast Arkansas or to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
