Robert (Bob) Dale Lemke, age 70, died on Sunday, April 2, in Jonesboro. He was born August 25, 1947, in Augusta, AR, to Edward and Lucille Lemke.
He grew up on his family\u0027s farm outside of Hickory Ridge. His family later moved to Forrest City where he graduated from high school in 1965. He was a combat veteran of the Vietnam War. He had a successful career with his own contracting business and was an expert builder with a penchant for doing everything right. He was an exceptional problem solver. Bob was a very avid hunter and an expert marksman. He was a Christian.
He is survived by his wife Lana Hughes Lemke; sons Rob Lemke and wife Victoria, Gabe Lemke, and Jason Johnson of McDonough, GA.; grandchildren, Ty Lemke, Isabella Lemke, Josh Johnson, and Jody Johnson; sister Phyllis Bradberry and husband Shyler of Searcy and nieces Brittany Patty of Maumelle and Brandy Brown of Conway.
He was preceded in death by his father, mother, and brother, Jimmy Taylor.
There will be a graveside service at Forrest Park Cemetery on Wednesday, April 5 at 2 p.m. under the direction of Gregg-Langford Bookout Funeral Home.
A celebration of Bob\u0027s life will follow on Saturday, April 8 at 2 p.m. at Bob and Lana\u0027s home.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Jude\u0027s Children\u0027s Hospital in Memphis, TN.
