Robert Eddie Johnson, 79, passed away March 30, 2023, at St. Bernards Regional Medical Center.

Robert was born March 18, 1944, to the late Cecil Llyod Johnson and Etta Bates. He served in the US Navy. Robert was a carpenter building houses in the area and an OTR truck driver for many years. He was owner of Big J INC. of trucking and construction. Robert loved fishing, hunting, and Harley motorcycles.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Cecil Llyod Johnson and Etta Bates; sister, Celia Ann Tatum; and brother-in-law, William "Bill" Tatum.

He is survived by his ex-wife, Iva Jean Coleman Johnson; sons, Bobby Cecil (Valerie) Johnson, Billy Joe (Dianna) Johnson; daughter, Rhonda Bricker; grandchildren, Chris (Kelly) Johnson, Jeremey Don (Ashley) Johnson, Alicia (Jeremy) Crismon, Cameron Johnson, Ashley Mansfield, Adam Bricker, Lyndsey Rhae Johnson, Bradley Charles Cagle, and Lauryn Johnson; great- great grandchildren, Joshua, Kayla Johnson, Eric Birdsong, Erynn Hausman, Hunter Mansfield, Madisyn, Myles and Mallory Johnson.

A memorial service will be held Tuesday, April 4, 2023 from 5:00 P.M. – 7:00 P.M. in the chapel of McNabb Funeral Home.

Cremation has been chosen as the final disposition.

All services are under the direction of McNabb Funeral Home.
