Robert Donald "Donny" Scott, of Fisher, departed this life Tuesday, February 11, 2014, at the Flo Phil Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro, at the age of 66. He was born November 21, 1947 in Wynne, the son of the late Robert Dee Scott and Bonnie Jean Mahon Scott. Donny and his father owned and operated a service station in Fisher for many years before retiring in 1993. He enjoyed hunting and the outdoors and especially enjoyed mowing yards. He is survived by his wife, Carrie Ann Mross Scott of the home; a stepson, David Gusberry and his wife Teresa of Greers Ferry; a stepdaughter, Barbara Bowman and her husband of Little Rock; a sister, Deaanna Shelley and her husband Herman of Fisher; five grandchildren; two aunts and an uncle he loved very much, Margrete Malone of Fisher and Iva Belle Scott of Weiner and Joe Scott of Fisher; two nephews, Scott Shelley of Balch and Rodney Scott of Fisher, as well as other family members and friends. Funeral services have been set for 2:00 p.m. Friday at the Fisher United Methodist Church with Rev. Dan Walker officiating. Interment will follow in Fisher Cemetery under the direction of Gregg- Langford Bookout Funeral Home of Jonesboro. Friends may visit at the church Friday, 1:00 p.m. till service time. Those serving as pallbearers will be David Gusberry, Scott Shelley, Rodney Shelley, Steve Bowman, John Ekenseair, and Ray Davis. Those wishing to send memorials are asked to consider the Fisher Cemetery or the Fisher United Methodist Church.
