Mr. Ricky Lee Harrison, of Jonesboro, formerly of Harrisburg and Cherry Valley, departed this life Monday morning, September 15, 2014, in Jonesboro, at the age of 60. He was born January 2, 1954, in Harrisburg, the son of the late J.B. Harrison and Maurine Tillery Harrison. Ricky was a 1972 graduate of Harrisburg High School. Following high school, he attended Arkansas College in Batesville and the LSU School of Banking. He was the Sr. Vice President at First National Bank of Wynne and had been in the banking business for over 35 years. Ricky was an avid Razorback fan and loved golfing. He was a former member of the Cross County School Board, the Cherry Valley City Council, the Cherry Valley Lion's Club and was a former Citizen of the Year at Cherry Valley. He was of the Baptist Faith. He is survived by three daughters, Brandi Hollis (Brannen), Chelsi Harrison and Mandi Turner, all of Jonesboro, one brother, Mickey Harrison (Linda) of Harrisburg, one sister, Teresa Shaver (Ronnie) of Jonesboro, one grandchild Kaylei Hollis, and two nieces, Molly Shaver of Jonesboro and April Stevens of Harrisburg. Funeral services are set for 10:00 a.m. Thursday, September 18, 2014, at the Cross County High School Gymnasium with Dr. Bryan Jarrett officiating. Interment will follow in Harrisburg Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Gregg-Weston Funeral Home in Harrisburg. Visitation will be at the funeral home, Wednesday evening, 5:00-8:00 p.m. Pallbearers will be Daniel Casebier, Andy Terrell, Laurence Hylle, Johnny Carroll, Larry Carroll, Fred Schweighart and Hershel Adams. Honorary pallbearers will be David Wallace, Paul Hall, Jason Parker, Bill Carwell, Mike Wood, Richard Sisk, Gerald Sutton, Coy Sutton, Ronnie Shaver, Brian Karnes, Shane Bell, Duane Bell, Wyatt Goad, Dennis Stephens, Wesley Jackson, Michael Gillis, Micheal Casebier, Joey Woods, Wayne Benefield, the Cross County Football Team and Coaches and the Biloxi Golf Team. Those wishing to send memorials are asked to consider the Bridge of Hope Children's Home in Vandale.
