Mr. Ricky Lee Barker of Caraway, departed this life Friday, April 24, 2020, at his home, at the age of 66.

He was born January 27, 1954 in Manila, Arkansas, the son of the late Lealun Barker and Alice Vail Barker.

Ricky was a 1972 graduate of Caraway High School. He married Glenda Vaughn on October 12, 1973 and they enjoyed 47 years together. He worked at Basler Electric in Caraway for many years and at Crane Composite in Jonesboro until retirement. Ricky loved hunting and fishing with special friends and catching turtles with his grands. He was a member of the Milligan Ridge Baptist Church. He leaves a host of family and friends whom he enjoyed spending time aggravating. He came up with nicknames for each one.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lealun and Alice Vail Barker, two brothers-in-law, Sammy Hicks and Glen Vaughn, one sister, Roxie Leodler and one granddaughter, Preslee Anderson.

He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Glenda Vaughn Barker of the home, two daughters, Jennifer (Brent) Powell of Caraway and Lisa (Andy) Anderson of Caraway, two brothers, Eddie Joe (Cindy) Barker of Jonesboro and Billy (Annie) Barker of Manila, two sisters, Bonnie (Robert) Hensley of Caraway and Mae Hicks of Caraway, four brothers-in-law, Jerry (Ann) Vaughn of Caraway, William (Dian) Vaughn of Pearl, MS, Kenny (Karen) Vaughn of Black Oak and Mike (Mary) Vaughn of Lake City, and five grandchildren, Levi (Sydney) Reed, Madison Anderson, Grace Powell, Gavin Anderson, and Nash Anderson, and one great grandchild, Miller Reed.

A graveside funeral service is scheduled for Monday, April 27, 2020, at 2:00 p.m., at Caraway Cemetery with Rev. Rick Stevens officiating. There will be no visitation. All arrangements have been entrusted to Gregg Funeral Home of Monette.
