Jonesboro- Richie Leo Tharp, 61, departed this life Friday, December 17, 2021 at Methodist Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee.

He was born March 27, 1960 in Chicago, Illinois to the late Leo and Vana Tharp.

Richie graduated from Morton West High School in Berwyn, IL in 1978. After high school he went on to receive an associate's degree from Morton College in Cicero, IL. He enjoyed computer work and used that in his career in retail management. He retired in 2019 from Burlington Coat Factory.

He is survived by his two sons, Richie (Deyanira Maldonado) Tharp, and Robert Wayne Andrew Jr.; his aunts, Joyce Lovelady and Novella Tharp, and his uncle, Pete (Norah) Tharp all of Jonesboro.

Funeral service will be 1:00 pm Wednesday, December 22, 2021 at Gregg-Langford Bookout Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Don Martin officiating. Interment will follow at Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery.

Family will receive friends between 11:00 am until time of the service.

Honored to serve as pallbearers are Dave Schultz, Richie Tharp, Kyle Whybrew, Robert Wayne Andrews Jr., Ronnie Everheart and Roger Tharp.
