Obituary
Richard Dale Yates, 73, of Pocahontas passed away Thursday, March 25, 2021 at his home.
He was born September 9, 1947 in Poplar Bluff, Missouri to the late Elmer and Marie Higgs Yates. He was a Vietnam War Army veteran and a member of the Pocahontas First Assembly of God.
Richard was preceded in death by his parents, Elmer and Marie Yates; brother, Earl D. Yates; and sister, Sharon Elliott.
He is survived by his wife Elizabeth Marie Kavy Yates; son, Richard Dale Yates Jr of Rockton, IL; four stepchildren, Lisa Marie Childers of Dexter, MO, Jonathan Joshua Gibson of Texas, Rose Lynn Keeling of Dexter, MO, and Timmy Lynn Keeling of Flint, MI; and many other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be Friday, April 2, 2021 from 10-11 AM in the chapel of McNabb Funeral Home with a funeral service following at 11 AM with Terry Miller officiating. Burial with military honors will be at the Arkansas Veterans Cemetery in Birdeye at 2 PM.
