Richard Ray “Dickie” Tucker, 78, of Paragould, passed away on April 24, 2026, at the Green House Cottages of Belle Meade. He was born on October 30, 1947, in Milford, Michigan, to the late Raymond Hampton and Sarah Hazel Stearn Tucker. Dickie lived a life marked by kindness, faith, and a gentle spirit that touched everyone who knew him.
A devoted Christian, Dickie found joy in simple, meaningful moments. He loved playing basketball on Sunday afternoons after family dinners, a tradition that brought laughter and togetherness. He also enjoyed crafting wooden crosses and drawing pictures of Jesus—expressions of both his creativity and his deep faith. Christmas was his favorite time of year, and he embraced the season with childlike joy and a heart full of love. In his early years Dickie was a farmer and will be remembered as a sweet, caring person with a clean and humble soul.
He is survived by three sisters, Mary (Fred) Turner of Paragould, Patricia (Jake) Ballard of Paragould, and Dawn (Ray) Melton of Monette; and three brothers, Gary L. Tucker, Bobby (Vickie) Tucker, and James E. (Tina) Tucker.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Arthur Tucker, Fawn Sue Tucker, and Joyce Ann Tucker.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, April 29, 2026, at 12:00 p.m. at Gregg‑Langford Bookout Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral services will follow at 1:00 p.m., with Eugene Merrill officiating and Kevin Gamble reading the obituary. Burial will take place in Monette Cemetery.
Honored to serve as pallbearers are Kenny Woodman, Matthew Mann, Kevin Gamble, Fred Turner, Bobby Lee Tucker, Anthony Tucker, Ashley Tucker, Darian Melton, and Bradley Tucker. Honorary pallbearer is Michael Gamble.
