Obituary

Biggers - Richard Kent Lindsey, 78 years, 1 month and 26 days, passed away Thursday, August 11, 2011 at St. Vincent's Hospital in Little Rock. He was born June 16, 1933 at Spring Creek, AR. An avid golfer and puzzle solver, he was a veteran of the U.S. Army. A graduate of Arkansas College in Batesville. Mr. Lindsey was a 33 year educator at Biggers Reyno High School. He was preceded in death by his parents, Elbert and Ruth Lindsey. One sister, Pauline Marie and eight brothers; Harold, Emmett, Milton, Bob, Reuben, Adrian, Edd and Larry. He is survived by his wife, Jane Lindsey of the home, two daughters and son-in-laws; Mary and Richard Smith of Manila and Beth and Charles Willfond of Hoxie and five grandchildren; Tanner and Scout Smith and Hannah, Sara and Lucas Willfond. One brother Keith Lindsey and wife Teena of Calico Rock. Sister-in-laws Millie, Willene, Pauline, Glenna, Helen and Marie and many nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to SpringCreek Cemetery or Corning United Methodist Church. Funeral Services will be held Monday, August 15, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. in the Chapel of McNabb Funeral Home with Pastor Ann Ferris officiating. Burial will follow in SpringCreek Cemetery at 1:00 p.m. Visitation will be held Sunday night from 6-8 p.m.
